California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and  California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA”) Notice at Collection

This Notice at Collection for California Consumers supplements the information contained in the Master Privacy Notice for Cinch Home Services, Inc. (“Cinch”), and California Privacy Notice, and applies to consumers that reside in the State of California. The terms used in this Privacy Notice have the same meaning as the terms defined in the CCPA and CPRA.

This Notice at Collection applies to the following URLs owned and operated by Cinch Home Services, Inc. (collectively "Cinch," "we," "us," or "our"):

Cinch Home Services, Inc., is collecting your personal information to support its business operations, including for the business purposes listed below.

We will not sell the personal information or sensitive personal information we collect. However, we may share it with our own affiliate companies and with companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as claims servicing, shipping your order, or offering customer service, and with third party marketing service providers we have contracted with for cross-context behavioral advertising. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us. Where your information is shared with third parties, we take appropriate contractual, technical, and internal measures to ensure that the disclosure is pursuant to non-disclosure agreements, and your information is processed only to the extent necessary, consistent with Cinch privacy policies, and in accordance with applicable law.

Retention

Cinch retains Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information for the following expected retention periods:

  • Information about you we collect to engage in transactions with you, our suppliers and business partners, and to process purchases of our products and services, will be retained for the duration of the transaction or services period, or longer as necessary for record retention and legal compliance purposes.
  • If you have registered for a Cinch online account (MyAccount) to access your Cinch account online, your account information will be retained for as long as you maintain an active account. After service termination, minimal account information will be held for records retention purposes.
  • Contact information such as your email address or phone number collected online on our sites, and used for our marketing and sales activities will be retained for as long as we have an active (customer) relationship with you, and/or as appliable by law.
  • Personal information needed to retain your opt-out preferences will be retained for as long as necessary to comply with your request and with applicable law.

Cinch collects this Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information for the following purposes:  

  • To provide products and services to you or in connection with a transaction involving you
  • To perform a contract between Cinch and the consumer
  • To improve products and services
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect against fraudulent or illegal activity
  • To communicate with you about our affiliates
  • To maintain an account with Cinch or our affiliates
  • To provide support, personalize and develop our websites
  • To comply with the requirements of the CCPA and CPRA
